Thanks to Patreon for inviting me to be a part of this swap, and thanks to Carla for guiding me through my first time making fresh pasta! One day, I'll get back to making more cooking videos. The shooting part was actually quite complicated (three camera set-up, with Carla and the remote video team on Zoom), but I enjoyed all the behind-the-scenes action of the cooking show operation. I got to learn to make a fresh pasta dish from a professional chef, while shooting the lesson cooking show-style in my own kitchen. So this lesson swap with Carla was a really cool experience for me. For those who have been following me for a while, you might remember my coconut mochi recipe video as my first (and only) foray into making cooking videos. I LOVE cooking shows and have long dreamed of being on a cooking show. Please take a moment to click through to YouTube, drop a purple emoji □☂️, and leave a thumbs up and a comment to cheer Carla on. I've also taught a full-length Patreon Beginner lesson, more info on that below. Watch "Purple Rain" tutorial on YouTube: ĭownload the Chord Chart: You can download the free pdf chord chart attached to the bottom of this post to follow along with the lesson. Carla is a vibrant soul and eager student, and I think you'll really enjoy watching Carla tackle the challenges of playing her first chords and her first ukulele song. She taught me to make fresh pasta, and I taught her to play Purple Rain as her first ukulele lesson (one of her favorite songs, and one of mine too, but not an easy first song!). Today I'm sharing something new - Patreon invited me to swap lessons with chef Carla Lalli Music.
